Mobile Cleaner required in Burnley/Preston/Fleetwood and Surrounding Areas

We are recruiting for a Mobile Cleaner in Burnley/Preston/Fleetwood and Surrounding Areas

Shift Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hrs a week opportunity for overtime, flexibility required

Pay rate: £12.15 per hour

 Company Vehicle and Mobile Phone included

Must have a full UK Driving License

Duties and Responsibilities

  • ·        To clean and prepare all areas for which you are responsible for following the required policies and procedures, ensuring that the location is clean, pleasant, and safe for customers.
  • ·         Supporting the clean teams on various sites by way of covering sickness, holidays, some general knowledge of checking over machinery and having the ability to check and audit the cleaning under the instruction of the Area Manager.
  • ·         To be responsible for cleaning areas as allocated by the Cleaning Supervisor/Area Manager/ Site Manager (this may vary from time to time).
  • ·         To use cleaning materials as instructed by the Cleaning Supervisor/Area Manager/Site Manager.
  • ·         To vacuum all carpeted areas and to wash or mop the floors of toilets in designated areas (machine clean where necessary).
  • ·         To sweep all the uncarpeted floors thoroughly.
  • ·         To empty and clean bins and remove waste to designated areas.
  • ·         To spot-clean spillages.
  • ·         To dust and wash surfaces carefully each day with clean dusters/cloths, including desks, seats, ledges, skirting boards and other places where dust settles.
  • ·         To regularly clean toilets and hand basins and to replenish necessary toiletries including toilet paper and hand soap etc.
  • ·         To wash off dirty marks from wall tiling and mirrors.
  • ·         On occasions to carry out periodic cleaning of all internal surfaces and windows, including internal doors.
  • ·         Report all defects/hazards immediately to Cleaning Supervisor/Area Manager/Site Manager.
  • ·         To comply with COSHH, Manual Handling, Risk Assessment, Colour Coding and any other Cleaning Policies in the Academy and relevant sites.

  • Carry out all cleaning tasks in accordance with the cleaning schedule
  • Take ownership of Health and Safety for yourself and others at work
  • Complete all work in accordance with current legal Health and Safety requirements
  • Ensure any appropriate warning signs are always in use
  • Observe and comply with site rules and regulations at all times
  • Maintain equipment and materials in a clean and safe working order
  • Report all machine and building faults to line manager
  • Respond courteously to customer and management requests
  • Undertake any other duties requested by line managers

We are recruiting for a Cleaning Site Supervisor, St Annes's School, Middleton, M24 6XN

Shift Hours: Monday - Friday, 6.30am - 8.30am and 3.30pm - 6pm

Pay rate: £11.50 per hour

General cleaning to include (but not restricted to):

  • To ensure that the specification is fully implemented and adhered to.
  • To ensure that a consistently high standard of service is delivered in accordance with the work schedule.
  • To undertake regular client contact, build relationships and ensure satisfaction with the service delivery.
  • To ensure all cleaning operatives are complying with customer service.
  • To ensure all customer queries and complaints are dealt with in a timely and effective manner and that the client is kept fully informed of what action has/is being taken.
  • To help train and develop Cleaning Operatives.
  • To monitor Cleaning Operatives to ensure high standards are delivered and maintained.
  • To keep the Area Manager fully informed at all times.
  • To help retain good staff.
  • To ensure signing in procedures are strictly adhered to.
  • To communicate Company and Site information to Cleaning Operatives.
  • To ensure that the Company Health and Safety Policy is properly implemented and adhered to in addition to specific client requirements.
  • To liaise with Area Manager on key operational issues
  • To liaise with Area Manager on short fall of hours
  • To liaise with Area Manager over equipment and machinery requirements
  • To control supplies and material requirements

Key Skills and Desirables

  • GCSE Mathematics and English
  • Flexibility to work additional hours
  • Previous experience as supervisor/manager in the cleaning industry
  • Commitment to delivery of excellent customer service
  • Be results orientated
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Able to communicate in a clear and concise manner
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills
  • Be self-motivated and able to motivate staff
  • Possess good organisational skills
  • Personal presentation to a high standard at all times
  • Basic numerical capability
  • Capable of implementing actions to resolve simple problems
  • Capable of identifying and implementing quality improvements
  • Ability to build relationships
